Together, we can place education, nourishment and lasting opportunity within reach of children in South Kivu.

As the school continues to grow, additional classrooms can allow more students to continue their education within their community. Every new learning space represents another opportunity for a child to remain in school and move closer to achieving their dreams.
We may not be able to change everything at once, but together we can change a child’s tomorrow.
Educate a Child
Education gives children knowledge, confidence and the opportunity to develop their God given abilities.
Nourish Their Potential
Breakfast porridge, water, sanitation, electricity and learning resources help create an environment where students can concentrate, grow and flourish.
Build a Stronger Future
Additional classrooms and gathering spaces can serve students, families and the wider community for generations.
HANDS stands for Hope for All Nations Development & Sustainability. Our name expresses our purpose: to reach out where help is needed and to work alongside communities in ways that build dignity, opportunity and lasting strength.
Our first major initiative was the development of a school for children in South Kivu. What began with 120 students in Grades 1 through 5 has grown into a larger learning community serving hundreds of students across elementary and secondary grades.
Along the way, HANDS Canada has helped provide classrooms, water, electricity, laptops, restroom facilities, student meals and support for school events.

Together, we can turn compassion into education, nourishment and lasting opportunities for children in South Kivu.

Your support helps children access the resources and encouragement they need to learn, grow and flourish.

By investing in children today, we help build confident students, stronger families and healthier communities for tomorrow.
